A recent post at Speak Out!:  Strictly Politics by plantation_rfd:

Last night President Obama delivered his State of the Union address. I must say that I do enjoy listening to him speak. He is truly a great speaker. However, I agree with the masses: Less Talk and More Action!

While he touched on all of the recent hot buttons, the one comment that he made that we all need to listen to, and let it burn into our brains, refers to all of us being Americans. It’s not about Democrats or Republicans, it’s about Americans. It is time to put away the party political BS!

In my humble opinion, if we put all of this petty bickering, along the party lines, behind us and work together, toward a common goal (fixing America), we will all fare much better. Segregation was an atrocity, and this party BS is nothing more than political segregation. Even the way the two parties are seated inside the chambers reflects this: Republicans together on one side and Democrats on the other. If they were on the bus, which party would have to sit in the back? This behavior harbors ill will and doesn’t serve any good purpose. Each party is saying if you are not with me, then you are against me. If you are not like me, then you amount to less than me. I wish that they would stop looking at everything like two pissed off children on a playground, fighting over a Lego block, that doesn’t solely belong to either of them in the first place.

These politicians need to understand that they are not above us, and neither party is better than the other. Actually, recent history shows that both parties are lacking in many areas. These politicians were elected by us, to serve our (all of us) country in the country’s best interest, not their own! It is time for them all to live up to the country’s expectations!

Get with the program, our get replaced…
